Two petrol-engined models are currently available: a 104bhp 1.6-litre and a 2.0-litre developing 141bhp. A 1.5-litre diesel arrives next month, although prices have yet to be announced.
Hatchback versions are available with the 1.6-litre engine in entry-level GS trim, while moving up to LX spec costs from £10,500. Saloon models are only sold in LX spec for £10,500 in 1.6 form, or with the 2.0-litre engine in SE trim for £11,995.
All cars in the range have front, side and curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic assistance for shorter stopping distances, a CD player, air-conditioning and remote central locking.
LX models gain alloy wheels, a metallic finish on the fascia and extra storage in an overhead console. SE models have traction control and climate control.
The 1.6-litre is capable of 60mph in 11.0sec, a top speed of 116mph, 41.5mpg on the combined cycle and a 19% company car tax rating. The 2.0-litre hits 60mph in 9.0sec, tops out at 129mph, returns 37.7mpg and sits in the 22% tax band.
