What car are you most looking forward to seeing next year? Audi's supercar R8? The new Ford Mondeo? Or something fun and cute like the Fiat 500

Make your voice heard at our prestigious What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2007 by voting for the motor that you think will be the most exciting. The manufacturer of the winning car will be presented with the award on the night.

We've got pictures of all the cars in our Gallery on the right, and for some background on the cars that have made it onto the shortlist, read on…

Audi R8
Price: £76,000 (est)
There may only be 350 R8s heading to the UK in 2007, but that exclusivity only adds to the excitement of Audi's 420bhp V8 supercar.

BMW M3
Price: £55,000 (est)
BMW launches its 3 Series Convertible in '07, but we reckon the company's most exciting car will be its first V8-powered M3. It's due here towards the end of year.

Dodge Avenger
Price: £15,000 (est)
Cool name, mean looks… Dodge's Mazda 6-rival will go on sale next autumn and could shake up the staid family car market.

Fiat 500
Price: £7000 (est)
In a straw poll, this cute city car came out tops in the What Car? office as the motor we're most looking forward to driving. What do you think? It should be launched towards the end of the year.

Ford Mondeo
Price: £16,500 (est)
If this is a car that can excite James Bond, Ford's all-new Mondeo must surely be free of its rep-mobile mile-muncher image when it goes on sale here in the summer.

Jaguar XF
Price: £30,000 (est)
You voted Jaguar's XK coupe as the most exciting car of 2006… so do you think the XF, the replacement for the S-type, will make it two in a row for Jaguar? It will be on sale December '07.

Mercedes C-Class
Price: £23,500 (est)
Much is expected of the new C-Class compact exec. The current car is Merc's biggest seller, so if you fantasise about sitting behind the wheel of the new one due in the summer, get voting.

Renault Twingo
Price: £8000 (est)
Another city car heading this way next autumn. Its sporty good looks are on the back of Renault's F1 success so if you fancy yourself as the next Alonso, maybe this is the car for you.

Rolls-Royce Corniche
Price: £300,000
Some of the options on this Phantom soft-top could cost more than a few of the other cars on this list. It's the most expensive car of 2007, but is it the most exciting...?

Vauxhall Antara
Price: £24,000 (est)
It seems like we've been waiting ages for this Frontera replacement, but it should be in UK showrooms by the start of summer. Will it be worth the wait?
