2013 Fiat 500L video review
- Fiat's family-friendly 500L reviewed on video
- Designed to combine style with practicality
- Rivals the Citroen C3 Picasso and Mini Countryman
The Fiat 500L is a spacious and stylish mini-MPV, which the manufacturer hopes will provide a comfortable and practical alternative to the Citroen C3 Picasso and Mini Countryman.
It has been designed with families in mind; offering 400 litres of space with the seats in place and up to 1300 litres of capacity with them folded. The rear seats also slide and tumble forward to make the most of the rear space.
Standard equipment is good, with Bluetooth, cruise control and an adjustable boot floor all included.
There are three engines on offer – two petrols and one diesel. The noisy 1.6 diesel engine can be rather distracting, but it is a much stronger performer than the two petrols.
The Fiat's biggest sticking point is its price, and the C3 Picasso's pricing looks more appealing on paper.
