Chevrolet launches Epica family car

08 February 2006

Chevrolet will launch a new family car called the Epica at the Geneva Motor Show.

The new car comes with two engines – a 2.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol engine developing 140bhp, and an all-new 2.0-litre turbodiesel generating 148bhp. Both engines are offered with a five-speed manual gearbox, or a new five-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission.

The car is trimmed in soft-feel mouldings, and has leather seat facings. Chrome headlights, climate control, and a high-power radio/CD player are also on the specification list.

Standard safety features include ABS, driver and passenger airbags, and side and head airbags.

Prices have not yet been released, but we'd expect the car to cost from £16,000. Come back to whatcar.com for details of pricing when the car is unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show (February 28).
