Citroen is offering incentives for buyers to choose cars with lower emissions than their own vehicle.

The 'Go Lo CO2' offer applies to customers who part-exchange their car for a new Citroen with lower emissions. Cars registered before 2001 automatically qualify.

Buyers could receive cashback of £500 on selected C1, C2, C3, C4 and Berlingo Multispace models, or £1000 on Xsara Picasso cars.

The offer doesn't affect other Citroen offers running at the same time. These include 0% finance, free insurance on sporty versions of the C2, and a free DVD player on Xsara Picasso Desire models.

The 'Go Lo CO2' offer is available to vehicles ordered before October 31 and registered by December 2007.
