Deposits being taken for revived Healeys
- British company revives classic sports cars
- £1000 deposits being taken for new cars
- First 203 buyers choose their chassis number
A £1000 deposit can now buy you a place in the queue for a modern-day Healey 3000.
HFI Automotive, which now owns the famous Healey name, says work on coupe and roadster versions of the high-performance car are 'well advanced', but it isn't giving any idea of what the car might cost just yet.
There's also no word on where or when the cars will be built, but working prototypes are already running.
As well as a close-cropped shot of a prototype's badge, HFI has also released this artist's image of a coupe, which could give some idea of the look of the final version.
HFI says it is also working on a smaller and more affordable roadster to continue the tradition of the Healey Sprite, while other niche models are also in the pipeline.
To mark the 50th anniversary of company founder Donald Healey's 203mph land speed record, buyers who place a £1000 deposit will be able to reserve their chosen chassis number from the first 203 cars off the line.
More information will be posted on the HFI company website at www.hfiautomotive.com in due course.
