Hyundai and Kia to stop competing
- More differences between the brands
- Separate styling and interiors
- Bigger price differences
Future Hyundai and Kia models will become more distinguishable from each other, according to new group design boss Peter Schreyer.
Speaking to What Car? he said: 'We need more differences and to not compete with each other so much. I would like to see different proportions for our models.'
He also admitted that greater differences would emerge between respective cabins. Schreyer told us: 'The interior and exterior have to harmonise, although it is more of a challenge.'
He also didn't rule out the two brands moving further apart on price and the type of cars they produce.
