Mercedes' 457bhp estate breaks cover

05 September 2007

Mercedes has unveiled the C63 AMG Estate.

The AMG-tuned 6.3-litre V8 engine has 457bhp and has an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. It travels from 0-62mph in an Audi RS6 Avant-matching 4.6 seconds.

Its seven-speed automatic gearbox has three modes which the driver can select according to their driving style and road conditions.

AMG styling includes a distinctive radiator grille, flared front wings and a sports exhaust.

The car is on 18-inch alloy wheels as standard, but these can be upgraded to 19-inch.

It has 485 litres of load space with the rear seats up, which expands to 1500 litres.

Although no details have been confirmed, the C63 AMG Estate is set to go on sale in the UK early in 2008 for about £50,000.
