The Fiat 500L is designed to offer some of the quirky, retro styling of the 500, but in a package that can accommodate family life. We asked What Car? readers to give their verdict on the new mini-MPV.
It comes with a boot that's almost twice the size of that in the 500 city car, while also offering more passenger space and a higher ride. Fiat hopes it will tempt traditional Citroen C3 Picasso buyers.
It's a hugely important model for Fiat, as it attempts to expand the '500' brand – a seven-seat version of the 500L will arrive later this year and a mini-SUV, called the 500X, is expected before the end of 2014.
The Fiat 500L has just gone on sale, so if you’re considering moving into the mini-MPV market, it could be just the car for you.
