Reborn MG appoints its first dealers

03 July 2007

MG has appointed two dealers to sell the MG TF roadster.

The dealers are the first to be appointed since the firm was bought by Chinese owner Nanjing Automotive Corporation (NAC) two years ago, following the collapse of MG Rover in April 2005.

The first dealer is Luffield Cars, based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, which was previously an MG X-Power specialist and service centre.

The second dealer is the Merritts Motor Group, which will be selling the car from its two Buckingham facilities in Amersham and Aylesbury. Merritts was also an MG Rover retailer for over 10 years.

TF cars go on sale at the new outlets this autumn. NAC MG (UK) hopes to expand its dealer network to 80 nationwide, and says it will announce 11 more dealers in the next week or so. We'll have full details on whatcar.com when it does.
