Every week, whatcar.com brings you the biggest savings on new cars from around the country.

This time, we've unearthed some corkers from car brokers all over the UK.

Take Autobytel's (tel 0800 783 1514) deal on a Vauxhall Astra, for example - its 1.8 VVT SRi three-door model is going for £13,286 - that's over £3000 and 18.5% less than list price, and £1659 below our Target Price (the maximum price we think you should pay for any car).

If the Astra's too small for you, how about a 4x4? Buyacar (0845 226 0101) has a Kia Sorento 2.5 CRDi XE for £16,401 - saving you £3594 or 18% on list price and £2340 on Target Price.

Maybe you need to move more people in a bit more style. If that's the case, Mercedes' big MPV, the R-Class could fit the bill, and Carfile (01335 360763) has an R280 CDI SE for sale.

It's going for £30,123, which is £9345 off list price and £5580 less than the Target Price. Put another way, that's 23.7% off the recommended price.

You can expect even more big discounts on the R-Class soon. Mercedes is ditching its six-seat layout in the autumn for more traditional five- and seven-seat layouts, so dealers will be looking to offload the outgoing car in the coming weeks.

Drive the Deal (0208 446 0800) has a Jaguar XJ 4.2 V8 Sovereign for those seeking more luxury. At £46,513, it's saving you £11,629 or 20% on list price and £5994 on Target Price.

Then there's the BMW 630i Sport convertible from Motorlogix (01844 344 446) - it's selling for £48,605 - that's £7208 and 13% less than the windscreen sticker price and £3979 less than Target Price.
