Suzuki: ESP as standard

15 May 2007

  • ESP as standard in all new Suzuki models
  • Splash supermini will be first to get ESP
  • Face-lifted models to have safety kit, too

Suzuki's new Splash will come with ESP as standard - and soon all Suzukis will, too

Suzuki says all of its new models will come with electronic stability control as standard.

The Splash supermini will be the first new model to have the safety kit as standard when it goes on sale here next February. The car will have six airbags fitted, too.

Suzuki confirmed that face-lifts of current models will also have ESP as standard.

The company plans to expand its range further in 2009, with a new Focus-sized car at the beginning of that year, and a new Mondeo rival towards the end.
