Kia is launching an industry-leading used car scheme, with cars getting up to seven years' warranty cover. It's also expected to extend its three years' interest-free credit offer.
If you buy a used Kia under the new scheme, which begins on April 1, it will get the same warranty period that the car had when it was new.
Purchase a used Kia 'd or Sportage and you'll get a seven-year/100,000-mile warranty. You'll also get two years' European breakdown cover, a 60-day exchange plan, with each car undergoing an 88-point inspection.
All cars come with a guaranteed full service history, too.
Not all Kias came with a seven-year warranty from new, but you'll still get three years' cover with a Picanto, Rio, Magentis and Sedona, with five years on the Carens and Soul.
The scheme applies to cars up to 18 months old that have covered fewer than 18,000 miles. We also understand that a separate scheme for older vehicles is being prepared.
In addition to the new approved-used scheme, Kia is expected to extend its three years' interest-free credit offer until the end of May. The offer applies to selected Cee’ds, Carens and Sedona models of up to 18 months old and no more than 18,000 miles on the clock.
Kia's Andrew Sellers, who's responsible for the offer, said: 'We looked at what used buyers really wanted in order to gain complete peace of mind and confidence in the Kia product.
'We're confident taht it's the best approved-used scheme available. We know the history of every single approved-used car, which is paramount in being able to offer such a comprehensive scheme.'
Around 120 Kia dealers across the UK will offer the scheme from its launch on April 1.
