Alfa Romeo is one of the oldest brands in motoring, existing in one form or another since 1911.
There are three models of Alfa Romeo on the market, although only two of them are mainstream vehicles. The Alfa Romeo Mito, the firm's front-wheel drive Ford Fiesta rival, is the smallest car in the range and was introduced in 2008.
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta is a five-door Volkswagen Golf rival introduced in 2010 - and it will be joined in 2016 by the Giulia, a competitor for the BMW 3 Series and Jaguar XE.
The Alfa Romeo 4C is the final model on sale at present. It's a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports car that's available both as a coupe and a convertible. All models are built in Italy.
