Disabled driver

A national charity called Motability runs the biggest fleet of cars for disabled drivers in the UK, providing hundreds of thousands of cars to the UK's 1.7 milllion disabled motorists.

If you qualify for the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance, you can have the payments made to Motability to cover the cost of purchasing a car.

Preferential loan rates are also available to make purchase more cost-effective, while grants for lessons, cars or modifications are also on hand to get you on the move.

While the majority of cars provided through Motability are unadapted, the charity also gives advice on how modifications can be made where necessary.

For more information visit Motability at www.motability.co.uk or call 0845 456 4566.
