Budget - Every buyer's budget will be different - the important thing is to stick to it. Remember, you don't just pay for the car; you'll have to include the running costs (fuel and insurance, for a start). Never tell a salesman your true budget, but haggle for the best deal you can without letting on what you want to spend - he will be loath to go below what he knows you can afford.
