C - Comprehensive

05 June 2006

Comprehensive - A comprehensive insurance policy covers you and the car in the event of an accident or theft of the car or property from it. Many comprehensive policies also cover you for legal fees should a court case arise, as well as medical expenses and car rental if your car is off the road. Check the small print, as policies vary.

Note that a comprehensive policy on a car does not mean that anyone other than named drivers is insured to drive it.
