F - Fixed-mileage policy

05 June 2006

Fixed-mileage policy - By agreeing with your insurer to restrict the number of miles you cover each year, you could reduce your insurance premium. This is known as a fixed-mileage policy.

It's well worth considering if you only cover a few miles each year or run a classic car, or a car that is expensive to insure (See Cherished insurance.) However, if you exceed the limit, your insurance will be invalid.
