L - Lap belt

Lap belt - Provided for the middle rear passenger in some cars. These are much less safe than a three-point belt because there's no over-the-shoulder webbing, just a strap around your midriff, so your torso is not restrained if you are involved in an accident. (See also Three-point seatbelt.)
