Leggy (i) - Also known as long-legged, a leggy car is one which, during normal motoring, needs frequent gear changes to keep its revs up. On the motorway, a leggy car's low engine revs should benefit fuel consumption and mechanical noise, but it may respond sluggishly when you press the accelerator to change lanes.
Leggy (ii) - Can also refer to a car with high mileage.
