Part-exchange - This is the simplest way to dispose of your old car. The dealer sets the value of your old car against the cost of the new one. Check how much your car is worth in the What Car? Used Car Price Guide before you accept the dealer's valuation, however. Don't be afraid to insist on a fairer price if you feel short-changed. (See also Cost to change.)
