S - Special edition

05 June 2006

Special edition - A model which falls outside a car maker's standard range and is usually fitted with extra equipment, either for the same price as a standard car or at a small premium. Most special editions are not worth more than the model they are based on in the second-hand market, and so can lose buyers more money in the long run.
