Tiptronic -Porsche and Audi's version of an automatic gearbox with manual override. Like BMW's Steptronic, it allows you to select a wholly automatic mode, or choose to change gear manually using either steering wheel-mounted buttons or a lever. In the latter case, the gears are arranged sequentially: that is, in a line rather than in an H-gate.
