BMW shows off new M3 Saloon and M4 Coupe

The launch of the fifth-generation of the BMW M series is currently underway, with the manufacturer revealing new images of both the M3 Saloon and the M4 Coupe.

It is the first time the Coupe and Saloon versions have been given individual model names, with another new feature coming in the form of a turbocharged engine in each.

Audi S3 Saloon joins S-series quartet

A new three-box version of the 300PS S3 will join the S5 and S3 Sportback in the manufacturer's S-series, with the quartet set to be rounded off by the S3 Cabriolet. 

The latest model is set to feature a 2.0 TFSI engine, with turbocharging and direct injection and will deliver excellent power while still achieving 40.9 mpg.

It is able to hit the 62mph mark in just 4.9 seconds and when keeping the pedal to the floor, drivers can go up to speeds of 155mph.

Skoda Octavia vRS named Everyday Car of the Year at FHM Awards

The Skoda Octavia vRS has been named as the Everyday Car of the Year at the FHM 2013 Car Awards, adding to its already impressive trophy cabinet.

Toyota confirms BMW engines for Verso

The all new Toyota Verso 1.6 D-4D is set for a BMW-supplied engine, the manufacturer has confirmed.

With a release set for early 2014, the new engine will help to offer an alternative engine range for customers to choose from.

The compact MPV will be the first Toyota to be fitted with an engine from BMW and comes following a collaboration contract signed by the two parties two years ago.

MINI celebrates last of a current generation

Workers at MINI Plant Oxford have welcomed the last of the current batch of MINI hatch models off the production line, signalling the end of seven years of delivery.

There will be no mourning at the factory though, as MINI is ready to begin production on the all new model which is set for a 2014 launch.

Some 1,041,412 models of the current vehicles have been produced at the facility, accounting for almost half of the total MINI's constructed in Oxford since the site opened in 2001.

Fleet Show set to return to Silverstone

Silverstone will once again welcome the Fleet Show in April 2014 and organisers expect the event to be even bigger than it has been before.
