Volvo Car Group sales break-even in 2012

Volvo Car Group managed to break-even in 2012 after making a full-year operating income of 18 million Swedish crowns (£1.78 million).
 


Total revenue for the period was 124.5 billion Swedish crowns, which marked a slump on the year prior as the manufacturer was affected by economic uncertainty in Europe.

In the second half of the year the firm focused its efforts on re-balancing its cost base and organising investments in the long term.

Toyota looks to the future with ME.WE concept

Toyota is looking ahead to the future as it continues to invest new meaning into its cars, which can have a transformative effect on the industry in general.

Teaming up with the architectural and design firm Massuad, the Japanese automobile manufacturer has developed a new concept known as ME.WE.

Skoda unveiled its new sporty compact sedan concept car entitled the Rapid Sport at this year's GTI Meeting at Worthersee.

Volkswagen is to unveil a new SUV concept entitled the CrossBlue Coupe at next week's Shanghai Auto Show.
