Brand New Citroen Ds5The new Citroen DS range is known for its eye catching unique styling, and the new DS5 arguably has the most unique styling yet. The DS5 was first unveiled as a concept car called the C-Sport Lounge at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2005, since then Citroen have developed it to what you see now. The DS5 features Chrome strips which start at the headlights and stretch all the way back to the wind mirrors, these match the chrome door sills, chrome front headlights with day time running lights which sit above large air intakes in the front bumper while flared arches complete the sporty look. The rear of the DS5 has a pair of large stainless steel exhausts and wraparound lights.

Inside the cabin the interior is very impressive especially the leather seats which come from the concept car, there is no flimsy plastics in sight only quality materials. The Citroen DS5 interior has a stylish designs with futuristic looking dials, toggle switches and even a head up display system which can be found on some top executive cars, while a the panoramic glass roof stretches the full length of the DS5. Even though the DS5 is quite compact there is plenty of room for 3 rear passengers and the boot has generous space with 465 litres of space which is roughly the same as the BMW 3 Series Touring.

Brand New Citroen Ds5Under the bonnet is a 2.0 litre diesel electric hybrid4 drive train that can be found in the Peugeot 3008 and the new 508 RXH. All the 163bhp from the 2.0 litre HDi engine goes to the front wheels while an electric motor producing 37bhp turns the rear wheels. The combined 200bhp will return a 0-62mph time of 8.8 seconds, while producing only 99g/km of Co2 emissions. The new Citroen DS5 will also be available with a 1.6 litre diesel which has 109bhp, a non hybrid 2.0 HDi and 1.6 litre petrol which comes in either 153bhp or 197bhp.
