Kia Pro_cee'd specifications announced

Kia's popular Cee'd family hatch range is expanding this summer, with the release of the aggressively styled Kia Pro_cee'd.

Following in the tyre marks of the original five-door Cee'd hatchback and the Sportswagon estate model, the Pro_cee'd represents the first hot hatch that Kia has ever produced.

To ensure it hits the ground running in this vehicle segment, Kia is making its Pro_cee'd available in two trim levels – the S and SE varieties.

Drivers who opt for the former model will be treated to a vehicle that comes complete with eye-catching 16-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth accessibility and handy Isofix child mountings as standard.

Opt for the SE specification though and motorists will receive the added boost of seeing their new set of wheels installed with a state-of-the-art sat nav system and larger alloys.

When it comes to looking under the bonnet of the Kia Pro_cee'd, drivers can choose between a selection of petrol and diesel engines for both the S and SE models.

All of these are fitted to a six-speed manual gearbox, though the 1.6 GDI SE machine is the only car in the series to have the option of a six-speed dual-clutch transmission automatic arrangement.
