With sights set on an official release at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MINI has revealed its latest images of the new John Cooper Works Concept.
The car is intended to be an upgrade on previous models, delivering an increased sporty performance and go-kart-like handling, making it a sure-fire contender for pole position when it hits the track.
Above all, the increase of speed and handling is intended to provide an extra injection of fun into the vehicle, conveying exactly what the aesthetics suggest.
An exclusive silver paint job, capped with a red roof and spoiler, gives it that stylishly sporty look, while a racing stripe that goes from 'Chili Red' to white makes it even more desirable.
It builds on the designs featured in the latest-generation MINI, as evident in the recognisable longer wheelbase and wider track. Both these features have a direct effect on the driving characteristics, and an aerodynamic design makes it that much more agile.
The black grille and LED headlights gives it that little bit of edge, and a twin tailpipe exhaust cements its sportscar ambitions.
