The Highways Agency will soon benefit from a new fleet of Mitsubishi Shoguns, with 30 specially designed vehicles rolling off the production line.
The 4x4 cars have been created at the manufacturer's Specialist Vehicle Operations Centre, which oversees the refitting and adaptation of Mitsubishi models to suit specific client requirements.
Each vehicle takes around 24 hours to complete in full and each will provide a tough, practical vehicle for use in all weather conditions on UK roads.
Dan Pigot, corporate sales manager at Mitsubishi Motors UK, said: "For eight hours of the day the vehicle is their office so it needs to be comfortable and the feedback from the traffic officers is that they really like the Shoguns."
It is hoped the latest models will continue the relationship between Mitsubishi and the Highways Agency. The manufacturer has also seen its services used by the Environment Agency, with the body taking order of 138 specialist vehicles, including 70 Outlanders.
