More details revealed on third generation BMW X5

Slowly but surely, more details of one of the most eagerly anticipated vehicles of 2013 are filtering through, albeit teasingly.

Images of the third generation of BMW’s brilliantly punchy X5 hint at a car that has all the hallmarks of a classic.

This is a lot slimmer than its predecessors, with the German car manufacturer keen on making it more aerodynamic and easier to navigate on the road.

It’s definitely a model that exudes confidence. For one, its bonnet is a lot longer, as if it is a 100-metre sprinter that is always pushing for the finish line.

This is further amplified by what looks to be decidedly larger doors, as well as a roof that also appears to be much bigger than before.

If anything, this X5 is about space, in terms of comfort and command of the road.

Under the bonnet, we have a much more powerful engine. It is building on what existed previously, so expect plenty of muscle.
