Audi's S1 Hot Hatch

Brand New Audi A1Following on from the success of the A1 which was released last year, Audi have just revealed its hottest A1 hatch to date, the Audi S1. Pictures of the Audi S1 testing on the Nurburgring show that the S1 will have no problems going up against the likes of the MINI John Cooper Works and the Volkswagen Polo R which will be ready soon. But the one advantage the Audi S1 will have over the Mini and Polo is that it will feature Audi famous Quattro system making it the only car in its class to feature a 4 wheel drive system.

As you can make out from the pictures of the new Audi S1 that will be available on Business and Personal lease from Lease-Car-Direct is that the front and rear wheel arches look to be slightly more flared which help to house the noticeable larger and wider alloy wheels. Other standout feature of the new Audi S1 is the lowered suspension and the twin exhaust system which fits into the rear bumper.

Audi hope to show the new Audi S1 at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and early suggestions say that the Audi S1 will be fitted with a 1.6 litre turbocharged petrol engine which will produce 220bhp which is the same engine that will be found in the Volkswagen Polo R. Audis new 1.6 litre engine should propel the new Audi S1 from 0-62mph in just six seconds and then go on to hit it's limited top speed of 140mph. Audi will fit the S1 with a manual 6 speed gearbox or as an option you can have a 6 speed auto gearbox.

No confirmation yet from Audi on the price of the new S1 but expect it to start off at around £22,000. All of our Audi vehicles are available on cheap Car leasing deals which come direct from main dealers only.
