The digital age is in full swing at Renault dealers across the UK, with a new customer-facing and interactive system, called ConTact – for tactile configurator, now operational across most of the French brand's 140+ dealerships. The ConTact system adds an extra, digital dimension to the traditional face-to-face dealer and customer interactions.
The system uses state-of-the-art Apple iPads and large hi-def TV screens to take existing and potential Renault owners through an innovative 3D configurator tool, to help them build their next Renault model in a virtual reality. Sales staff can show buyers around a specific model’s features to help them visualise the car of their dream,s before committing to buying it.
This takes the pressure off the customer as important choices like colours and trims can be virtually tried before they buy.
The ConTact system has been rolled out mainly to benefit of customers, but the multitude of system functionalities help the sales staff too. The system helps Renault’s sales staff generate bespoke brochures and promotional material for sending onto the customer electronically, while the much more interactive sales approach enables them to highlight a wide range of important information, on everything from pricing, performance and options.
The new ConTact system is being rolled out across the full Renault UK dealer network over a three-year period.
