SEAT has added the FR+ to their Leon range and in doing so they have made a few small changes to the lineup. The Leon FR+ now tops the range and comes with Satellite navigation, Digital Audio Broadcasting Radio, Bluetooth Audio Streaming, Bi-xenon Headlights, Parking Sensors and 18 inch alloy wheels make up the standard equipment. The list price of the new Seat Leon FR+ has gone up by £1,070 but the actual cost of the extra equipment works out at £2,465, which is a saving of nearly £1,400.
The Standard FR will be down on power compared to previous models as it will now be fitted with a 1.4 TSI engine which produces 124bhp or a 2.0 TDI engine which produces 138bhp. While the Leon FR+ will be fitted with the current 2.0 TSI engine which produces 208bhp and 2.0 TDI engine which produces 168bhp.
While the power may be down on the new Leon FR, it has not lost any of its sporty styling features when compared to a standard Leon. Some of these visual features include sportier front and rear bumpers, silver door mirrors and LED rear lights, while standard kit for the Leon FR includes sports seats, parking sensors as well as automatic lights and automatic wipers.
With all above changes this means the starting price for the FR range is now £18,205 for the 1.4 TSi FR rising to £22,615 for the 2.0 TDI 168bhp FR+ fitted with the Auto DSG gearbox.
