The order books have opened for the biggest new Mercedes on the famous German fleet – the S Class. Prices start from £62,650 for the S 350 BlueTEC SE Line, rising to £88,130 for the very appealing S 500 L AMG Line.
For those that like to get driven, rather than drive, the new S Class is once again offered in a long wheel base variant, giving rear seat passengers limo-like space and many customising options.
Just three powertrain options will be offered when the new S Class goes on sale in September; one diesel, one petrol and one petrol hybrid – the S 350 BlueTEC, S 400 Hybrid and S 500 will all have top comfort levels at heart though.
The new car gets only a mild increase in price, and a good haul of standard kit that now includes a reversing camera, COMAND Online NTG 5, full LED Intelligent Light System, DAB digital radio and Keyless Start.
Luxury, Mercedes-style, sees lots of leather on the rear seats and a host of personal options to further improve your take on what refinement means, including seats that can a simulate a hot stone massage, or even heated armrests.
