The firm opted for a unique approach of hinting towards a new car launch, by choosing to release an image of its GT86 convertible concept which appears as though someone has sketched the motor.
Entitled the Toyota FT-86 Open, the Japanese vehicle maker has acknowledged that the prototype car "previews a possible future development of the award-winning GT86 sports coupe".
While obviously the single sketch does not unveil too many details, it does clearly display a vehicle with a 2+2 design and a folding roof that is neatly integrated beneath a flat rear deck.
Due to the shot also showing off the FT-86 Open concept with its roof open, it is so far impossible to gauge just yet whether car will pack a folding soft-top or a folding hard-top roof.
However, motoring enthusiasts are set to find out the answer to this query, as well as find out much more about Toyota's new prototype, when it is featured at this year's Geneva Motor Show between March 7th and 17th.
