New Volkswagen Beetle R

Brand New VW Beetle RThe new Volkswagen Beetle R is set to be the fastest Beetle ever, even faster than the famous love bug from Herbie Rides again. The VW Beetle R Concept is by far the best looking version to date and it gives you a glimpse of what is easily achievable by the Volkswagen design team, this would also add to the current R line up which so far consists of the Scirocco R and Golf R.

No confirmation on the Power Unit yet, but expect to see the same 2.0 litre Turbo 266bhp engine found in the Scirocco R and Golf R, Volkswagen has also said the VW Beetle R could come with four wheel drive as standard.

Some of the outstanding features on the VW Beetle R include 20 inch chrome five spoke alloy wheels, sports bodykit which is 30mm wider front and rear which may not sound much but aesthetically makes a big difference. The rear of the VW Beetle R has been fitted with an oversized roof spoiler, rear diffuser for added down force and twin exhausts either side of the diffuser.

Grey Nubuck leather sport seats with the Volkswagen R branding and black high gloss inserts add a premium look to the Beetles interior.

Brand New VW Polo R LineVolkswagen will wait to see what kind of reaction they get from the general public before they give the go ahead to build the VW Beetle R. A standard VW Polo 1.2 TSI fitted with an R-line body kit shows what the Polo would look like in R clothing, which has fueled rumors of a production Polo R.
