Subaru has opened the order books for its forthcoming B9 Tribeca 4x4. The new BMW X5 rival will cost from £28,995, and arrives in UK showrooms in November.
The Tribeca comes with the 3.0-litre petrol engine that's also used in the Legacy Spec B. The engine produces 242bhp, which gives the Tribeca a 0-60mph of 9.3sec and a top speed of 121mph. Combined fuel economy is 23.0mpg.
The entry-level model, the S5, costs £28,995, and comes with a five-speed automatic gearbox, front side and curtain airbags, 18in alloys, dual-zone air-con, electric front seats, fog lamps and a six-disc CD changer.
For an extra £3000 the SE5 adds full leather upholstery, heated front seats, a sunroof and a DVD sat-nav system with reversing camera.
The range-topping £33,995 SE7 has all that and an extra pair of seats in the third row, a rear DVD entertainment system with headphones and remote control and rear air-con.
