Land Rover has announced prices for the 2007 Range Rover Sport, including the powerful new V8 diesel.
Entry-level prices now start at £35,665 for an S-trimmed TDV6 diesel, an increase of £120, while the new TDV8 is priced from £53,120 in HSE specification. A Supercharged petrol V8 tops the range and costs £63,225 in HST trim.
While the TDV8 diesel is £5855 more expensive than an equivalent V6 diesel, it is considerably faster.
The 3.6-litre engine is 80bhp more powerful than the V6, and 3.3sec swifter to 60mph with a time of just 8.6sec. Top speed is also increased from 120mph to 130mph.
Combined fuel consumption is 2.1mpg worse than the V6 at 25.5mpg, while emissions continue to send the Range Rover straight into the maximum 35% company car tax band.
All prices include the cost of off-setting the cars CO2 emissions. Land Rover will run the off-set scheme as a delete option, which means you can choose not to pay it. The scheme adds £85 to £165 on to the price of the car, depending on the model chosen.
