Porsche will launch an all-new version of its lightweight, race-inspired 911 RS supercar this autumn for around £85,000.
Developing 381bhp from its tuned 3.6-litre six-cylinder engine, the GT3 RS has 61bhp more than a standard 911.
Although it’s 81bhp less powerful than the £116,180 911 GT2, the GT3 RS is 50kg lighter at 1360kg thanks to an acrylic rear window and carbon-fibre reinforced bonnet and rear wing. It also features an uprated suspension set-up, close-ratio gearbox and modified rear axle.
The RS takes just 4.4sec to reach 62mph and has a top speed of 191mph, only a little behind the GT2.
Based on Porsche’s new GT race car, the GT3 RS features a standard-fit roll-over cage and, continuing the tradition of RS Porsches, is only available in white with decals in red or blue.
