Discounts are already being offered on BMW’s new 3-series, even though it does not go on sale in the UK until the middle of March 2005.

Several UK brokers reckon they can supply the saloon for up to 3% below list prices. Delivery times are quoted as the end of April or the beginning of May 2005.

Broker Carfile is leading the field. Its price for a 320d ES saloon is £700 less than the brochure price at £22,708. This compares to the price offered by broker UKnewcars.com of £22,899, followed closely by drivethedeal.com at £22,907. All prices are for a 320d ES saloon supplied through BMW dealerships in the UK.

Drivethedeal.com has a number of reductions, including £582 off a 330i SE auto priced at £29,287. Drivethedeal.com’s managing director, Richard Sanders, said: ‘We have worked hard to provide savings on the new 3-series and we hope to bring further discounts later in the year.’
