Daihatsu is offering a limited-edition version of its Copen two-seater roadster which gains extra equipment.
The Vivid special edition costs £12,995 – that’s £500 less than the standard Copen, but the car gains £700-worth of additional kit. Just 200 Vivid models will be built.
Features include a unique red paint finish, heated seats, a leather steering wheel and a tonneau cover to reduce buffeting when the steel roof is folded away.
Like standard Copens, the Vivid comes with electric windows, a CD player, alloy wheels and air-conditioning, and uses a 67bhp 660cc turbocharged engine.
What Car?’s Target Price team of mystery shoppers has found that Daihatsu dealers are willing to offer small discounts on the Copen, so buyers should still be able to haggle £500 off the price of the Vivid.
