This is the all-new Kia Magentis, which will compete against the likes of the Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Vectra from February next year.
The new family car is bigger than the current model in every dimension. It also uses an extended wheelbase, which Kia says has created more room in the cabin and boot.
Petrol-engined models arrive in February but the manufacturer has not yet decided which engine sizes will be available. Expect prices for these models to start at around £10,500 – a £500 rise on the outgoing model.
While the current car has no diesel engine option, buyers will have a choice of a 2.0-litre in the new car from May next year, with starting prices in the region of £11,500 to £12,000.
The new Magentis is likely to offer decent specification levels including front, side and curtain airbags, parking sensors, air-conditioning, remote central locking, electric windows and mirrors, and an CD player.
