Mercedes-Benz is planning a range of exciting new models including a small hatch and a junior off-roader.
The new small hatchback would sit beneath the C-class Sports Coupe in Merc’s line-up, while a smaller brother to the M-class off-roader is rumoured to be in development.
Also in the pipeline is an S-class-sized MPV called the GST, which is due to arrive in 2005. The new A-class MPV and SLK roadster will be launched next summer.
Jurgen Hubbert, the Mercedes boss responsible for new products, said the company was also considering building a sports car that would fit between the current SL roadster and the £250,000 SLR super-coupe which arrives later this year.
