Primera diesel gets added luxury

Nissan is now offering its 2.2-litre Primera turbodiesel in luxury T-spec trim.

The range-topping diesel costs £19,500 in five-door hatchback form and £20,600 as an estate, a £1500 premium over the SVE models.

Standard equipment includes traction control, cruise control, leather upholstery and electric seat adjustment, as well as climate control, heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers and reversing cameras.

The 138bhp 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine returns 46.3mpg on the combined fuel cycle and powers the Primera from 62mph in 9.8sec. Its emissions of 164g/km place it in the 19% company car tax band.
