Rover is selling a cut-price, top-of-the-line 75 saloon built to commemorate the five-millionth car off its production line.
For £20,000, one buyer will get a 2.5-litre V6 Connoisseur SE that was valued at £30,733 when it was built last July. It features a bespoke leather interior, special aubergine paint finish, satellite-navigation and a DVD player.
The commemorative 75, which was registered to Rover as the first owner and has delivery miles on the clock, is being offered for less than two-thirds of its original new price including options.
The 75 range generally loses around 50% of its value in the first year, however, so buyers should be able to find similar year-old models at far lower prices, albeit with more miles on the clock.
A quick search of brokers such as Drivethedeal.com also shows that new, similarly specified cars are available for around £23,700.
If you’re interested in owning the model, a replica of the actual five-millionth car which the company is keeping, call MG Rover Direct on 08701 121999.
