Ssangyong will launch its huge – and rather unusual-looking – Rodius MPV in the UK this summer with a likely starting price of less than £19,000.

The mammoth seven-seat MPV is more than 5.1m long – even longer than the Renault Grand Espace or Chrysler Grand Voyager.

The Rodius promises to offer plenty of room for passengers and luggage alike as a result and, if the company’s Rexton 4x4 is anything to go by, it is also likely to be well equipped.

Only one engine option will be available, a 163bhp 2.7-litre diesel. No performance figures have yet been released for the car, which will get a five-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
