Subaru has launched a new range-topping version of its Forester 4x4, powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine developing 208bhp.
Priced from £24,695, the new arrival is 33bhp more powerful than the existing 2.0-litre turbo model, which costs £20,995.
The dash to 60mph takes just 6.0sec, which is 1.9sec quicker than the 2.0-litre. Top speed is increased by 15mph to 140mph.
Fuel economy is 25.7mpg on the combined cycle, but an increase in emissions moves the 2.5-litre Forester into the top 35% tax band.
