Impreza's legendary abilities will be enhanced

Subaru has announced a host of upgrades for all its latest UK Impreza models, due to be launched next month, with some prices changes.

The modifications affect styling, handling and interiors, but engines remain unchanged.

The biggest changes are reserved for the high-performance 262bhp 2.0 WRX STi AWD 4dr, which gets a revised chassis and suspension layout for better handling, improved all-wheel-drive and better aerodynamics. The price jumps by £1000 to £25,995.

The popular WRX models receive suspension work and get alterations to the steering, but the price remains unchanged at £19,995.

The entry-level 2.0 GX models get larger wheels and tyres, improved cornering stability and a price reduction. The saloon drops by £450 to £14,500 and the five-door by £300 to £15,600.

All the cars in the range get new steering wheels, re-trimmed doors and roof lining, and revised switchgear.
