The price cuts mean the stretched Volkswagen Passat-based family car now starts at £13,900 for a 2.0-litre Classic a drop of £355 in price. A top-of-the-range 2.5-litre V6 TDI diesel with the Tiptronic automatic gearbox in Elegance trim is down by a huge £3250 to £21,600.
Specification levels are unchanged, all cars coming with air-conditioning, remote central locking, side and curtain airbags, electric windows and a CD player.
The manufacturer said it has reduced the cost of cars to rationalise the pricing structure of the range.
