Toyota has launched special edition versions of its Avensis family car and Corolla small family car.
The Corolla Colour Collection models are priced from £10,995 and so are £1400 cheaper than the T3 cars they are based on – and even £700 less than entry-level T2 models.
Extra equipment includes a choice of three metallic paint colours, unique 15-inch alloy wheels and the body-styling kit from more expensive T Sport cars. Front, side and curtain airbags, air-conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, CD player and remote central locking are all standard.
The Avensis Colour Collection models start at £13,995 for a 1.8-litre petrol hatchback or saloon, and so are £900 less than the usual T2 entry-level model.
Unlike the T2, the Avensis Colour Collection models include a choice of four metallic paint finishes as standard. Equipment is otherwise unchanged, so the cars still offer nine airbags, CD stereo with steering wheel mounted controls, air-conditioning, remote central locking and electric mirrors and windows.
Toyota’s Colour Collection cars represent good value for money. Remember that you can still haggle for further discounts, however.
Both Colour Collections will be available until June.
